The Clash of Timelines
The Hands that Rock the Triggers
Up and down the East coast of North America’s Royal Federated Colonies, men associated with a pornographic flicker producer and strip clubs owner Jean Lafitte are being being killed or incapacitated under mysterious circumstances. Lafitte hires John Smith, former Royal Marine sniper and now security consultant, to investigate. Are the ladies of the Bala Cynwyd Women’s College Rifle team instigators or targets? Who set up innocuous Army clerk Staff Sergeant Mutton to take the rap for the murder of an undercover Navy operative? Is actress Eva Braun truly all smiles und sunshine or is she concealing a darker secret? Are Imperial Russian Speznats as tough as they’re cracked up to be?
A Switch in Times
The Smiths and the Sammartinos are visiting the Outer Banks vacation home of brother and sister Jules and Victoria Thibodeaux when a mysterious stranger, Paul Drake gets dropped off by a Wing-in-Ground Effect ocean-going craft that appeared seemingly from nowhere. Drake claims to be a scout from another version of earth, dropped off at the wrong version of earth by accident. Things go well initially, at least until Drake’s sister-in-law by marriage shows up with a WIG-full of pistol-packing nuns, the Godmother of the East Coast Irish mobs takes an interest and then a boatload of Cuban thugs try to kidnap the ladies. Tough times make for strange alliances and Smith finds himself in some of the strangest as his Empire and Paul Drake’s gear up to fight an existential threat from yet another timeline.
The Scum Also Rises
John Smith is exhausted from juggling all women in his life, so it’s almost a relief when he is asked by his Uncle Max, a retired hitman from Ft. Detroit City, to go to Ohio Province and investigate the strange events afflicting Max’s pal, a larger-than-life former rugby legend and now the Chief Constable of Pataskala Native Township. At the same time, Smith has to determine who or what is behind the disappearance of so many Irish youth from the New York City area. It turns out that bad pennies always return and no good deed goes unpunished; in this case the punishment is the arrival of John’s teenage niece, Cheryl. Cheryl’s appearance coincides with an attack by mysterious forces from yet another timeline advanced enough to scare Paul Drake’s world. It’s tough going from dirigibles to fusion powered spaceships in a single generation; will John’s version of earth ever be prepared to go toe-to-toe with the death-dealing art thieves from a hitherto unsuspected timeline?
